Life Legacy


Sharon passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack in Banner Baywood Medical Center in Mesa. Sharon was born in San Francisco, California and spent her childhood in Portland and Hillsboro, Oregon.

After graduating from Hillsboro High School in 1961, Sharon attended Emanuel Hospital School of Nursing. She later owned a floral shop and was a piano teacher. At the time of her death, Sharon was retired.

Sharon loved being with her family, her little Pomeranian - Halley, gardening, playing the piano and singing, and spending time with friends.

Sharon is survived by two sons, Bruce Walter and Scott Walter; daughter-in-law DeAnn and Heather; grandchildren Valarie, Natalie, Dylan and Tiffany; and two great-grandchildren; plus, several cousins, and nieces and nephews; her sister, Carol Hilden, and bother, Alfred Hilden.

A celebration of life memorial will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2011, at 11:30am at Skyline Memorial Gardens, Portland, Oregon. A reception following at Carol Hilden’s house.
